UPDATE Saturday morning: The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office says the baby was found uninjured on a woman’s doorstep.Friday night around 9:48 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a stolen vehicle with a four-month-old child inside. The 2019 silver Kia Sorrento was stolen from the 2600 block of 5th Way North West in Center Point. Witnesses told deputies as they saw the vehicle leaving the home, it stopped to pick up a man and drove away.Around 10:38 p.m. deputies were notified that a baby had been left on the doorstep at a home in the 500 Block of 27th Avenue North West. The homeowner told deputies that she heard crying coming from the front porch. When she opened the door, she saw a baby lying on the doormat. The baby was not injured.Detectives are still investigating this case. Friday night around 9:48 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a stolen vehicle with a four-month-old child inside.

The 2019 silver Kia Sorrento was stolen from the 2600 block of 5th Way North West in Center Point.

Witnesses told deputies as they saw the vehicle leaving the home, it stopped to pick up a man and drove away.

Around 10:38 p.m. deputies were notified that a baby had been left on the doorstep at a home in the 500 Block of 27th Avenue North West. The homeowner told deputies that she heard crying coming from the front porch. When she opened the door, she saw a baby lying on the doormat. The baby was not injured.

Detectives are still investigating this case. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
